A private talk at the new Nottingham Contemporary, followed by refreshments at Nottingham Girls’ High School
Thursday 18th March 11.30am (£11)
The Nottingham Contemporary is an exciting new arts centre in the heart of the city centre. Newly opened in November 2009, the building pays tribute to its historical site (that of Nottingham’s famous lace markets) by incorporating on its modern façade an impressive and intricate lace design. As the Contemporary is so new to open we are privileged and delighted to have been offered a private talk, to be given by Jim Waters, one of the gallery’s curators on their upcoming exhibition which will open in spring 2010. At present we are unable to reveal details on what will be shown at the exhibition however anyone with an interest in modern art and modern history will find the session fascinating. After enjoying this exclusive talk and taking the opportunity to enjoy the exhibition and gallery, you will be escorted back to Nottingham Girls’ High School who have generously offered us drinks and nibbles to honour the occasion.
As the Nottingham Contemporary will not be charging the Minerva Network for the talk, we have incorporated an additional £5 per person into the ticket price which we will donate to the gallery to support ongoing initiatives.
