The Minerva Network
What is Minerva?
The Minerva Network is the alumni group for former pupils of GDST schools. Minerva was established in 1994 to unite our increasing and diverse alumni community. Membership of the Network is for life and is free. There are over 45 000 active members throughout the UK and overseas.
Why a Trust-wide alumni organisation?
Many individual GDST schools have their own specific groups known as Old Girls’ Associations (OGAs) or Guilds that play a valuable and essential part in our alumni system.
However we believe by also joining all of our alumni in one organisation we can offer a bigger, broader and more varied range of services than one school can alone. By uniting people who have a GDST education in common we can help diminish barriers, share ideas and successes and importantly bring friends together with one another and their former schools. The heart of alumni relations is providing a mechanism for alumni to link with their old school community and provide opportunities to contribute to that community now and later in life.
Whether it’s simply reuniting friends or helping young Minervans access professional expertise they might not otherwise get, we believe Minerva can add both real value and enjoyment.
